The Deaconess Board of Mount Ephraim Baptist Church is comprised of a faithful Assembly of God's servants who are full of faith and wisdom. We are dedicated women who serve the Lord and His people through providing spiritual care, instruction in God’s Word, and acts of love.

Appointed by the Pastor, the members of this ministry serve under the leadership and spiritual direction of the Pastor and are loyal to him and the church in prayer support, encouragement and fellowship. We also provide that spiritual fellowship and leadership for young women saints called to service in the church and provide counsel and support to them.

This ministry provides many services to the membership and assists the Pastor in the spiritual matters of the church. These include: prepare linen, secure bread and wine, and prepare the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion and Baptismal services; prepare candidates for baptism; keep baptismal linen and gowns for the candidates clean and presentable; greet new members with the Right Hand of Fellowship as they join the congregation and become new members in the Body of Christ; visit and communicate with the sick and shut-in; accompany the Pastor and church on outgoing engagements.
 
Mission Statement
 
Serving alongside the Deacon Board, support the Pastor in all his efforts to make the church environment better for the entire church body, both naturally and spiritually and to enhance the spiritual growth of the church, foster love, peace, and Christian unity within the total membership of the church through service and deportment.
 
Goal
 
Be steadfast in learning, teaching, and proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ as well as being a living example of obedience to His Word in carrying out the spiritual and programmatic activities of outreach and in-house programs.
