Culinary Ministry

Welcome

If you have a passion to serve and love to cook, then the Culinary Ministry is the ministry for you! Our kitchen door is always open where we prepare and serve continental breakfast between the early morning worship service and Sunday Church School, soulfully healthy meals for some of the Church's large functions such as Watch Night, Easter Sunday Breakfast, Luncheons, other special events and meals for repast services.

In addition to providing services to Mount Ephraim, the Culinary Ministry recognized a need to serve in the community, and developed a partnership with a public high school in the Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville area. In May 2009, the ministry will be providing healthy snacks to seventy-five students who will be taking the Advance Placement Exam.

Mission Statement

Provide comfort and love in the preparation and serving of food.

Goal

Continue to look for ways to enhance the ministry in supporting the Pastor's vision for our church members to get healthy and provide fellowship and good will to those around us through delicious and healthy foods.

Scripture

Genesis 18:5

"And since you've honored your servant with this visit, let me prepare some food to refresh you before you continue on your journey." "All right," they said. "Do as you have said."
