Expressing the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit, and the anointing songs
of worship and praise, the Mount Ephraim Baptist Church’s Music, Drama, Dance, and Praise Team Ministries aspire to enable, enliven, and enrich all who seek Mount Ephraim as a spiritual home in the corporate worship of God. In as much as music and arts are central expressions of faith, devotion, praise, piety, and celebration, we believe they are also fundamental vehicles of evangelism and outreach. Mount Ephraim therefore strives through the Music and Arts Ministry to provide a wide range of diverse and varied programs of music, dance, and drama that connect people to God through the church and the church to the community.

The ministry may also be described as providing a “variety of music for a variety of people,” that being we worship God in blended styles including traditional and contemporary. Nevertheless, we believe that worship not only encourages the heart of God but encourages those who serve Him.

The Music and Arts Ministry is blessed with many gifted souls that consist of the Minister of Music and Arts–Phillip Carter, Assistant, Damon Gray, the musicians, Youth Choir, Male Chorus, Pastor’s Choir, the Mass Choir, Praise Dancers, Drama, and the Praise Team.

The ministry’s task is to uplift the name of Jesus in songs, at our Sunday morning worship services, at our annual Christmas and Easter programs, other special programs and on special outings; support our worship with sound, video and tape recording, and duplicating; participate in the worship services with the art of dance, drama and skits.
 
Mission Statement
 
Glorify God in our congregational singing, our choirs and our drama and dance ministries, through worship with a spirit of service, excellence, sensitivity, purity, humility, and strength.
 
Goal
 
Improve vocally, spiritually and increase numerically; encourage holding music workshops to develop the gifts of the Body in the area of worship; and work with other ministries in the church to help set up their musical needs for their specific programs.
